Bangladesh, east of India on the Bay of Bengal, is South Asian country of lush greenery and many waterways. Its Padma (Ganges), Meghna and Jamuna rivers create fertile alluvial plains, and travel by boat is common. On the southern coast, the Sundarbans, an enormous mangrove forest shared with India, are home to the Royal Bengal tiger.

Shanghamitta Seba Sangha Centre

This is a new project that TOUCH Ireland hopes to support in 2014 through our TOUCH Facebook Group. In 2014 we hope to raise €1,000.00 to help to buy food, clothes and medical supplies for these children. Then hopefully  we will be able to visit there on our Asia trip in October/November and assess the situation to see what might be possible into the future.
Below is the letter of request for support to the Orphanage as we received it. We get a lot of requests for support but this one stood out as a project we could really help some vulnerable children in a part of our world. So please read the letter and hopefully you might find it in your heart to make a small donation to help these children.
